The musical opened in Melbourne on 18 December 2015 and will be touring to Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

The 2015 Olivier award nominated hit revival, which was reworked for the most recent season in the West End by the original creative team received excellent reviews and extended its season due to overwhelming demand.

CATS, one of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history, received its world premiere at the New London Theatre in 1981 where it played for 21 record-breaking years and almost 9,000 performances. The ground-breaking production was the winner of the Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for Best Musical. Since its world premiere, has been presented in over 30 countries, has been translated into 15 languages and has been seen by more than 73 million people worldwide. Both the original London and Broadway cast recordings won Grammy Awards for Best Cast Album.

We adored Delta Goodrem's performance as Grizabella which particularly captured the audience with her rendition of the song Memory, one of CATS' most well-known songs of all time. Delta Goodrem is a singer, songwriter, performer, pianist and actress and appears as a coach on the award winning talent show, The Voice Australia. Delta is one of Australia’s most accomplished female performers of the last decade, having achieved multi-platinum-selling status, eight #1 singles and three #1 albums.

Daniel Assetta (who played Rum Tum Tugger) also offered a brilliant performance. One of Australia’s most exciting up-and-coming performers, Daniel trained at The Glenda Yee School of Dance and graduated from ED5 International with a Diploma of Performing Arts. Daniel made his musical theatre debut in Wicked and toured throughout Australasia with the show. His credits also include Opera Australia productions of Carmen, Tosca, Turandot, Billy Budd, Carmina Burana and The Magic Flute.
