/Gontran Cherrier, Collingwood’s artisan boulangerie is collaborating with dessert queen Christy Tania to celebrate the 2017 Bastille Day French Festival at the Meat Market in Melbourne from15 - 16 July. The team will be serving up an all new ice-cream croissant that will be sure to satisfy the tastebuds (available until sold out, from 12pm on Saturday 15 July only).
Gontran Cherrier is well known for putting a contemporary spin on France’s favourite treats and this collaboration is no exception. The signature buttery croissant, combined with Christy’s palette pleasing ice-cream and sorbet will celebrate Bastille Day in delicious French style, and is available from the Gontran Cherrier pop up store only at the festival. Patrons who miss out on snapping up the dessert can pick up other signature decadent Gontran Cherrier treats throughout the whole festival, across both days.
The team from the Collingwood-based artisan boulangerie will be serving up more of their popular French treats to the public, including mille feuille, eclairs, tarts and brownies, as well as their award-winning baguettes and breads, available both days. To celebrate in true French style there will also be a tricolour gateaux, in red, white and blue.
The limited-edition ice-cream croissant is a taste of things to come when Christy opens her first venue, Glacè, in Melbourne this August. Hailing from MasterChef Australia, Christy has gone on to create outlandish creations, including the famous floating ice-cream and tasty treats at On Nom.
