Bass & Flinders Monsoon Gin | Recipe: Typhoon cocktail

Bass & Flinders Distillery are a boutique distillery located in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula.

These guys proudly make their own base spirit using Victorian grapes and have been doing so for almost a decade now.

This dedicated approach is rarely seen in the industry and the results speak for themselves with high quality grape based gins.

Gastrology recently had the opportunity to sample the Monsoon Gin, which we absolutely adored. A gin with an eastern twist, the Monsoon Gin is refreshingly exotic and is the result of being infused with various spices of the East.

The enticing combination of juniper berries, lemongrass, ginger and ginseng creates a wonderfully smooth and dry gin with a flavourful twist. This gin is perfect to enjoy on its own, in a G&T or in a Typhoon!

Ingredients

45ml Bass & Flinders Monsoon GinMonsoon Gin

Ginger Beer

Method

  1. Fill a glass with ice.

  2. Add the gin and top with ginger beer.

  3. Garnish with mint and fresh ginger.

  4. ENJOY!
