Burger Theory
/Originally a popular burger food truck in Adelaide, Burger Theory has now expanded its reach to Melbourne.
Founded by Rob Dean and Dan Mendelson, this burger joint stands out from the crowd with its exciting monthly burger specials. At Burger Theory, it's all about the journey from high quality steak to patty - mincing big hunks of marbled steak to form premium patties ready for the grill.
We sampled the #2 Beef Burger which was superb. With a rich and succulent beef pattie, the burger had, sandwiched between two halves of a slightly sweet and perfectly toasted milk bun, bacon, confit onion and luxurious blue cheese sauce. It was a classic burger and was absolutely delicious.
For those not so keen on beef patties, there is also an excellent range of fried chicken burgers and moreish falafel burgers (try the Mediterranean falafel burger - it's so good you'll forget it's meat-free).
And while you're there, make sure you try their Korean-influenced spicy loaded fries which burst with umami - think kimchi gochujang sauce, sour cream and bacon bits.
Oh and if you have a sweet tooth there's also beautiful house-made fruit pies which strike a delicious balance between sweetness and tartness and are encased with crumbly, ever so short pastry.
