Cakes and Ale

A perfect match to its location, the dinner menu boasts a great range of fresh local seafood from Dromana.
To start we recommend the Spencer Gulf king prawns sautéed in garlic butter. The prawns were wonderfully fresh and cooked in a traditional Spanish method with crushed garlic and olive oil.
An absolute highlight was the dish of whole baby snapper. The snapper was perfectly cooked in brown butter and served with flavoursome Polonaise style cauliflower, bread crumbs, egg and capers (for the perfect touch of salinity). The quality of the Snapper was exemplary. It was a dish that allowed the natural subtle sweetness of the fish to be enjoyed.
Continuing on the trend of the evening, the scallop pot pie was comfort food at its best. Featuring juicy Bass Strait scallops and smoked trout in a luxurious veloute and adorned with a crisp potato top.
Whatever you do, do not leave without dessert. The selection of mouth-watering baked treats and desserts are to die for.
