Cheese EU

Last night, Gastrology attended a product presentation event of the European program “Cheese EU”. Hosted by Emelia Jackson (MasterChef 2020 Winner), the event showcased Halloumi Cheese (P.D.O.) and took guests on a culinary journey. 

Emelia demonstrated the versatility of this much-loved product with a simple pan-fried halloumi as well as a halloumi fritter recipe and all guests also enjoyed a three-course dinner with the first course of pan first halloumi pieces with grilled roasted mixed citrus finished with a drizzle of honey and sea salt showcasing the hero ingredient.

During the event, guests had the opportunity to meet representatives of the participating organisations and enjoy unique European cheeses.
