Darling St Espresso

An intimate café off the leafy main streets of Moonee Ponds, Darling Street Espresso draws in the crowds week in and week out with its delicious and innovative brunch options and affable staff.

The ambience is casual and wonderfully relaxed with a great courtyard up the back perfect for prams and man's best friends.

As expected of any good Melbourne café, the eatery serves top notch coffee (Industry Beans) poured by adept baristas.

The menu by Head Chef Robin Neaves is wonderful. We loved that everything is made in house using locally sourced produce. 

To keep regulars on their toes, there is a great selection of specials. During our visit, we loved the chicken salad from the specials menu which featured tender morsels of chicken alongside sweet pumpkin and was topped with ethereally light tempura zucchini flowers.

For the health conscious, the protein bowl is a winner. This was a nourishing and flavoursome plate of supergrains, asparagus, beetroot, haloumi, fresh turmeric labna, zoodles, poached eggs and crispy chickpeas. Simply delicious!
