Drip Cafe
/Located in Cheltenham, Drip Cafe offers a stunning selection of brunch favourites with a Middle Eastern twist.
As expected of any good Melbourne café, coffee is great and there are also a wonderful selection of non-caffeinated drink options such as smoothies and juices for those so inclined.
We loved tasting our way through the menu. The freekeh and lamb salad was a beautifully hearty dish that is simply perfect for the winter cold. We loved the tender pieces of lamb served with spiced freekeh mixed with carrots, radish, heirloom tomato, fresh herbs and served with crispy pita and a good dollop of tahini and yoghurt dressing.
For the health conscious the Veggie Patch is a winner. A nutrient dense dish that doesn’t compromise on flavour, this was a stunning amalgamation of roasted heirloom beetroot and carrots, kale, cauliflower, pearl barley grilled haloumi, flaked almonds and creamy sweet potato hummus.
Whatever you do, make sure you try the Orange Blossom Hotcakes. Think fluffy hotcakes served with orange cream, vanilla bean mascarpone, fresh berries, caramelised orange, raspberry coulis and pure maple syrup. Just yum!
