Fourth Chapter
/Fourth Chapter is a bright and airy café in bustling Prahran which boasts a compelling brunch menu that has something to suit everyone.
As expected of any good Melbourne café, coffee is great (made with Niccolo coffee) and poured by adept baristas and there are a bunch of other non-coffee drink options including decadent smoothies, Sisko hot chocolate and insta-worthy colourful non-coffee latte options.
We loved tasting our way through the menu. The Nourish bowl was a winner. A stunning amalgamation of brown rice, pickled cabbage, pesto chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, golden carrots, edamame, spinach, cauliflower felafels and coconut tzatziki.
The café’s take on the Melbourne staple, the smashed avo is also worthy of a mention – crusty rye topped with broad beans, fresh herbs, pepita, lime and pomegranate.
For something naughty but oh so nice the waffles had us fighting for the last morsel. Think fluffy wweet potato and ricotta waffles topped with maple bacon, turmeric pickle hollandaise and finished with a poached egg encasing dripping yolk.
For health fiends do not go past the Green Fields. A relatively new addition to the menu, this is one nutrient dense dish that you will have no trouble mopping up.
