Hanzo Babekyu is a hidden gem located near Footscray station serving up an incredible selection of fusion Japanese and Korean cuisine. The menu has an All-You-Can-Eat barbecue option as well as an a la carte menu.
We loved their Ultimate AYCE option ($65pp) which starts with an amazing entree tower of Miso Glazed eggplant, Chicken Karaage, Takoyaki and Agedashi Tofu. This is followed by a wonderfully fresh sashimi platter, edamame, seaweed salad and miso soup.
Then Ultimate set included wagyu slices marinated beef short ribs, beef bulgogi, marinated chicken thigh, spicy pork, pork belly and premium ox tongue. Seafood lovers will also enjoy the prawns, scallops and squid.
We couldn’t resist trying the tempura and Korean fried chicken from the a la carte menu and were blown away with the quality. The Korean fried chicken was seriously some of the best we have ever had.
This restaurant is the perfect place to catch up with family and friends and is very kid friendly. We loved the top notch service.
