Hash Camberwell
/Located a hop and a skip away from the Camberwell market, Hash’s second outlet is the perfect embodiment of a thriving Melbourne café, a weekend brunch mecca, drawing in the crowds week in week out with its consistently excellent food, fantastic coffee and cheerful wait staff.
The open plan space creates a warm atmosphere; with the coffee bar greeting you at the entrance.
As expected of any great Melbourne café, the coffee is excellent. The house-roasted signature blend is a combination of Kenyan and Ethiopian single origin beans that produce a sweet and fruity cup of coffee that is full of acidic complexity. There is also a great selection filter and immersion brews. If coffee is not your thing, then make sure you don’t leave without trying their famous hot chocolate or matcha flossy.
We enjoyed our dish of Moroccan chicken salad. Tender grilled harissa chicken was served with spiced pumpkin, cous cous, mint yoghurt, micro greens and fluffy toasted flatbread.
For something incredibly naughty but nice, try their French toasted bacon croissant. It’s sheer indulgence. Think flaky buttery croissant encasing crispy bacon and served alongside luxurious peanut butter parfait, salted peanuts, caramel popcorn, banana and maple syrup. Just yum!
