Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen launches new ramen recipe
/In typical Melbourne style, hidden in the basement on Russell Street, there is spacious restaurant serving some of the city's most authentic ramen called Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen.
Specialising in ramen of course, Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen also serves up some great side dishes and a wide selection of beverages.
Having recently revised their ramen recipe to cater to Australian tastes, Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen hosted a feast for us to taste a snapshot of their extensive menu. To start off the lunch, we were treated to their lovely juicy Gyozas which are handwrapped in house, and the fluffy yet crunch potato croquettes.
We also had a preview of the 1 kilogram teriyaki chicken wings which are great to share amongst a large group. The chicken was moist and succulent with the teriyaki basting making the wings ever so moreish.
Having tasted the side dishes, we then moved onto the chef's special ramen which was the Yuzu Tonkotsu ramen. This dish is flavoured with yuzukosyo which provides the dish with a mild citrus tang that certainly provides that extra bit of zing. This specific Yuzu ramen includes black fungus, bean sprouts, seaweed, and pork so be sure to add on extra toppings like egg or bamboo to the order form. All the ramens on the menu are customizable on the order form so the texture of noodles can be cooked to your liking also.
Coming up at Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen, they are introducing a ramen eating challenge so for all big eaters who enjoy ramen, keep an eye out for details from Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen. The atmosphere at Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramenis is casual and relaxed which means everyone can enjoy their authentic ramen at their leisure.
