Lezzet
/Elwood is home to a plethora of cafes, restaurants and bars but none quite like Lezzet, a Turkish restaurant paying homage to the Ottoman fare.
Dining at Lezzet is a mezza - a unique sharing experience of fun, healthy and delicious food. We loved every dish we sampled at Lezzet where guests can expect bountiful Turkish food and wine.
Of particular note was the selection of starters including ‘Ezme’ comprising of a beautiful seasonal dip and warm Turkish bread as well as ‘Mantar’, mushroom almond croquettes, with kashar cheese and aromatic saffron aioli.
The ‘Balik’ was similarly delightful – perfectly cooked salmon fillet topped with Lezzet home made spices, borani and raki labne jell.
Another absolute must have is the Istanbul kuzu. Think melt in your mouth 40-hour slow braised leg of lamb, smoked eggplant begendi and crispy lavash. Just stunning.
Dessert time is equally as delicious at Lezzet. We had the Kazandibi – a decadent vanilla bean custard topped with fairy floss.
Attention to detail in the beautiful interior, the food and the service means you can’t help but feel comfortable and at home at Lezzet.
