Miss Siam — Gastrology

Located at the bottom end of the CBD, near Southern Cross Station, Miss Siam Thai is a newly opened eatery inspired by street food in Thailand. This little shop on Collins Street is simply laid out and with limited seating and tables, but has a great menu full of Thai classics and authentic dishes.

One of the specialties of from Miss Siam Thai is the Thai Sago dumplings filled with sweet turnip and crushed peanuts. These small glutinous morsels are the perfect appetiser to whet the appetite.The other standout at Miss Siam Thai is the classic Pad Thai with prawn, egg, beansprouts, crushed peanuts and tamarind sauce. Unlike other establishments, there was a good ratio of tamarind sauce to thin rice noodles which made the dish well-seasoned and not overly saucy.

For those in the nearby residential apartments and offices, or those on the commute home, Miss Siam Thai offers a convenient quick lunch or dinner option that is great value!
