Palermo

From the team behind Melbourne’s lauded San Telmo and Pastuso, Palermo is an exciting new addition to Melbourne’s dining scene. The restaurant boasts a chic ambience and offers a mouth-watering menu perfect for meat lovers.

With Award-winning head chef Ollie Gould at the helm, the restaurant is in safe hands.

Our top picks from the menu include the beef tartare - Traditionally prepared, the tartare was delicately minced and amalgamated with pickled cabbage, fried capers and horseradish – simply stunning.

The Vacio is another stand out. Displaying a mastery in the manner the steak was cooked, the inch thick cut of O’Connor’s premium pasture flank steak was cooked perfectly from end to end. A light searing ensured that each steak was lined with a thin crisp layer packed with caramelised beef flavour.

Similarly enjoyable was Palermo’s dish of Zanahorias, a dish of carrots, eggplant puree, smoked almonds and brown butter dressing. Far from being just another vegetarian option, denied due love and attention, this was a wonderful celebration of the vegetables and boasted exquisite taste and texture.

To finish the delectable flan concluded our visit on a sweet note. Melt in your mouth, creamy with just the right level of sweetness.

Palermo delivers a little taste of  Argentina to Melbourne. Combined with welcoming hospitality, their passion for authentic Argentinian flavours combined with modern techniques and a great vibe, it is a lovely space to  celebrate of food and wine.
