Pembroke Bar and Kitchen
/Local favourite, Pembroke has just launched a new brunch menu curated by new Head Chef Andrew Xdravkovski.
Born in Melbourne to a Macedonian heritage, Head Chef Andrew Zdravkovski has brought his experiences within the culinary world to the Pembroke kitchen. Working at not only some of the finest restaurants and dining locations all over the world such as the Hilton Melbourne, along with James Italian and Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen in London, Zdravkovski has created a menu that is sure to attract locals as well as well travelled foodies.
We loved tasting our way through the menu. The lobster benedict was a luxurious take on a breakfast staple. Think plump, sweet morsels of roast lobster atop poached eggs encasing oozy yolk and laced with rich hollandaise and dusted with samphire and nori dust for a touch of umami. Just yum.
For something heartier the house made Gnocchi is delicious and also a great vegetarian option. We loved the fluffy gnocchi tossed in burnt carrot sauce, cavelo nero and pepato cheese.
Our visit concluded on a sweet note with a sticky date pudding. An oldie but a goodie, the butterscotch sauce was simply to die for.
