Simply Spanish

Simply Spanish celebrates fresh Spanish flavours in a fun and lively atmosphere.

With a firm ethos on using seasonal produce and going local where possible, the restaurant creates food which is fresh and delicious. Paellas are prepared daily in giant pans alongside heart-warming tapas with influences from all parts of Spain.

We started with some beautiful tapas. The Garlic Prawns were wonderfully fresh and cooked in a traditional Spanish method with crushed garlic, olive oil and a hint of chilli. The Braised Beef Cheek was superb and incredibly tender having been slow cooked for six hours. Served on a bean and potato purée with a luxurious Pedro Ximenez and sun-dried raisin reduction, it was delicious.

The Gourmet Seafood paella was a standout. From 'La Costa Brava', this traditional paella is made with Market fresh seafood, Spanish paprika and short grain rice. Served in a paellera (paella pan), there was a beautifully crusty/slightly burnt bottom which had the infused aromas of being cooked over an open fire.

Simply Spanish brings a little taste of Spain through its food, drink and ambience.
