Sons of Mischief

Located in Highett, relatively new Sons of Mischief already has a loyal band of followers and it is easy to understand why. The café is the brainchild of Dean Fourtzis and Rishit Patel, co-owners of popular Armadale cafe Street Talk Espresso.

Boasting an impressive brunch selection alongside an extensive drinks menu as well as a bottomless brunch option, this café runs like a well-oiled machine.

We loved both the lunch dishes we devoured. The paleo zucchini pasta tossed with beautifully plump and charred king prawns, dairy free basil pesto, toasted pistachios and a touch of lemon was absolutely moreish. We loved that this was a healthy option that did not sacrifice on flavour.

For something heartier, do not go past the handmade spinach and ricotta tortellini. Think al dente pasta encasing rich fillings and laced with sage, caramelised burnt butter, sautéed brussel sprouts and a good amount of aged parmigianno reggiano.

As expected of any great Melbourne café, coffee at Sons of Mischief is wonderful and with beans by Niccolo Coffee Roasters in Prahran and poured by adept baristas.
