Turning Point

Turning Point offers a compelling option to indulge in the weekend lazy brunch ritual.

Another stunning venture by the Undercover Retail Group, the space formerly occupied by Hawk and Hunter has received a beautiful makeover. The new space is bright and airy with light blonde timber furnishings and touches of greenery.

We loved tasting our way through their new brunch menu.

Turning Point’s rendition of Melbourne’ breakfast staple, the smashed avocado was more than commendable. Luxurious smashed avocado was served with crusty toasted light rye and topped generously with fresh herbs, feta, house made pesto and seeds. If you’re hungry make sure you add mushrooms and/or salmon – you won’t regret it.

For a nutrient dense option the warm pumpkin salad is the perfect option. Whole roasted pumpkin is served atop a moreish warm salad of buckwheat, pesto, almond, toasted seeds, pumpkin puree and crispy sage.

For the sweet tooth, the menu has plenty of stunning options. The instagrammable dish of “Point of No Return” did not disappoint. This plate comes with a bit of theatre (you’ll see what we mean) and is light and healthy amalgamation of apple yoghurt oats with house made buckwheat, puffed quinoa and nut granola, mango puree, raspberry compote and mango sorbet. Just yum!
