Wah Wah Gee | Wah Bah
/A stunning waterfront restaurant in Geelong, Wah Wah Gee pleases guests with an extensive menu of Asian inspired dishes. In line with its social setting, the extensive menu is designed to share and has something for everyone - from spicy steamed buns to dumplings and Asian curries.
We loved tasting our way through the menu with the “Feed Me” option. The crispy fried chicken bao is a must have. Fluffy bao encases beautifully crispy chicken laced with candied chilli. It’s a thing of beauty. The Pork and waterchestnut dumplings are similarly delicious. We loved the umami laden pork crackling and garlic lime dressing that just makes this dish a tad too addictive.
For something a little left off centre the “KFC” is an absolute delight for vegans (as well as everyone else). A vegan take on the Korean fried chicken, perfectly crisp battered fried cauliflower is served with luscious veganaise and lime.
For mains the Thai style green curry is a flavour explosion and comes with oodles of rice noodles, green beans, capsicum and fresh herbs. Together with fluffy steamed rice, this is sheer comfort food.
Dessert time continues to please at Wah Wah Gee. Think Fried mixed berry and chilli jam baos as well as Chocolate and 5 spice brownie served with passionfruit sorbet. It’s all good.
After your meal at Wah Wah Gee we recommend kicking on upstairs to Wah Bah – the new kid arriving on the waterfront this Spring, and ready to give the burgeoning nightlife in Little Malop Street a run for its money. Perched out on Cunningham Pier Wah Bah serves up an extensive drinks list as well as a fun food menu based on Wah Wah Gee’s all-time favourites.
