Hunky Dory
/If you’re after the best fish and chips in town, we recommend you make your way to Hunky Dory. In addition to traditional fish and chip options, the menu sets itself apart with dishes inspired by international flavours and delicious ingredients.
Hunky Dory’s owner, Greg Robotis, comes from a long line of fishermen, dating back almost 90 years to the Greek Islands. Hunky Dory first opened in 2004 with a vision to offer healthier seafood options along with the more traditional fried fish and chips.
Greg saw there was a gap in the market for customers who wanted to dine in and enjoy a glass or wine or a beer with their meal. Thus Hunky Dory Fish & Chips was born.
The eatery is obsessed with freshness. Most fish is handpicked fresh from the markets, brought into the shop whole and filleted on site. The shop also offers healthy options - grilled seafood, salads, steamed vegetables and steamed white or brown rice.
These legends also have a great dessert selection. We opted for the Oreo cheesecake and blueberry cheesecake and were not disappointed.
We got our delicious takeaway from Hunky Dory Templestowe and were thoroughly impressed! Find out more about Hunky Dory here.
