Stamford Plaza launches 111 Burgers
/Stamford Plaza has just launched a new range of burgers, cleverly dubbed "111 BURGERS" - a call back to their location at 111 Little Collins Street – in the heart of Australia’s best city!
The 111 Burgers are inspired by Melbourne’s iconic inner city laneways and thoroughfares and uses the best of ingredients, including beef patties made from Tasmanian premium grade ground beef, market fresh salads and tasty condiments.
A unique feature of the burgers are the use of the Laugen roll instead of the traditional brioche or milk bun. The Laugen roll is a European specialty - smoky and crispy outside with a soft and creamy inside to create a distinctive burger experience.
Each of the seven burgers are inspired by seven different Melbourne streets.
Our top pick is the ACDC Lane Burger. It was an almighty burger featuring a juicy beef pattie, pulled beef, Virginia ham, Hungarian salami, grilled bacon, egg ‘sunny side up’, tomato, cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce and finished with American mustard and aioli. It was an impressive burger!
The Lonsdale Burger was equally delightful. We loved the wonderful smokiness from the baba ganoush which went beautifully with the lamb pattie, haloumi cheese, parsley, red onions and tomato.
For health fiends, the The Spring will have you singing. No bun - lettuce stacked high, vegetable and a plump, beautifully seasoned potato pattie is served with avocado, tomato, red onions and aioli.
