AGFG Director Provides Restaurants a Free Month For Commission Free Online Ordering

AGFG’s technology partner, WOWAPPS, instantly delivers restaurants with commission-free online ordering and Tap.Order.Pay (contactless food and drink ordering) for the safety of their diners and staff.

These are unprecedented times where the advice of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Australian Federal Government are changing hour by hour. Today it remains safe to dine in Australian restaurants according to all guidelines and advice by authorities (other than large indoor gatherings of over 100 people), however many restaurants are considering other options to keep their staff and customers safe.

The past several years has seen many restaurants move towards offering takeaway services, so in 2016, AGFG partnered with WOWAPPS to ensure restaurants can instantly provide an online ordering service to their customers with no lock-in contracts and no commissions.

Restaurant bookings are currently down by as much as 83% at some restaurants, while the surge in customer uptake using online ordering services is extraordinary. If restaurant owners don’t know how to change their dine-in service to an online ordering one, through WOWAPPS, AGFG provides the online ordering tech to their existing devices for just $99 per month ($3.25 a day), with nothing else to pay.

The Australian Good Food Guide’s Operations Manager, Shawn Sheather said that AGFG wants to ensure the longevity of restaurants, cafes and bars during this crisis.

“We have seen the direction of online ordering and Tap.Order.Pay increasing over the last few years for reasons of convenience. This pandemic has accelerated an existing trend, but for reasons of safety. We foresee the habits of online ordering to become the normal way diners interact with their favourite restaurants, says Sheather.

“At AGFG, we wanted to ensure that hospitality business owners had an instant option at their fingertips to accommodate social distancing measures and that is what we will be providing through our long-term tech partner, WOWAPPS.”
