Indonesian for ‘most beautiful’, Terindah Estate has a wine bar that wraps around the cellar door and looks across the open lawns and grape vines as well as a more formal dining experience at its signature restaurant The Shed, where the kitchen led by Executive Chef Russell Hall and Sous Chef Claudio Carta, uses high quality, seasonal and local produce to create an à la carte menu designed to complement the estate-made wines, executed with true talent and unique flair.

We absolutely loved tasting our way through The Shed's menu.
To start, the dish of grilled octopus was lovely. Displaying technique and skilful restraint, the octopus was beautifully presented and accompanied by luxurious romanesco, white bean and almond. It was a wonderful mélange of flavours.
The roast pumpkin pine nut tart was similarly delicious. with black savourine gratin was wonderful. We loved the combination of creamy roast pumpkin and pine nut and rich buttery pastry contrasted with the sweetness from the malted onion and the sharp tartness of the Drysdale goat chevre. Just lovely.
For mains the Beef short rib, simply melted in our mouths. Beautifully cooked, the exceedingly tender short rib was served with roasted root vegetable, burnt shallot cup, pangrattato.
The pulled Lamb shoulder was yet another stunning dish. We loved the tender morsels of lambs served with parsnip, green pea, all brought together by a sweet mint and rosemary dressing.
Dessert time showcased the kitchen’s versatility. The chocolate fondant was a classical and superb rendition of the original while the Terindah Shiraz poach pear tart with crème pâtissier, pistachio and nougatine was modern and unique.
