Open six days a week for breakfast and lunch, and Friday nights for dinner and banquets, Cafe Fez presents a unique atmosphere – a treasure trove of twinkling Moroccan lanterns, silver teapots and colourful woven cushions. Featuring a traditional menu of Middle-Eastern favourites, an astonishing drinks menu carrying over 20 different teas, local fruit sodas, a great line-up of local wines, a quixotic array of cocktails, this chilled out little gem is the perfect place to relax with a group or snuggle up to a beau (or belle) in one of the low-slung cushioned booths. We ordered the Lebanese Feast and were not disappointed. It was a beautiful platter with flavour-laden kofta skewers, chicken shashliks and lamb shawarma served with fluffy pita and condiments. Coffee at Café Fez is great too!
After lunch we explore the amazing middle eastern bazaar, Red Ramia Trading which is located directly next door to the café. It is an enormous globe-trotter’s emporium of furniture, pottery, homewares, rugs, exotic fabrics, kimonos, architectural and garden design features.
