Classic Cheeseburger at Lounge Kitchen

Lounge Kitchen has just launched their Classic Cheeseburger. This is one of the first dishes from their upcoming series of menu additions centred around one core premise to give the people what they want, better than what they’ve ever had.

The team has been working hard since June prototyping and axing various dough mixtures and starter yeasts, until finally coming up with a burger bun that they think is the best they’ve ever had.

The pattie is made from 100% Black Angus; a combination of grain-fed Hereford porterhouse and grass-fed Gippsland rump cap. The beef has gone through an in-house process of dry aging for at least twenty-one days, and then ground into 200g patties, before being grilling to medium to achieve the perfect juiciness.

Authentic Swiss Gruyere is layered a top the pattie for a subtle and creamy texture, alongside a single consistent layer of sliced pickles.

Finally, the burger is finished off with some ketchup and American mustard.

A simple, classic burger. Sometimes, it's good to go back to the basics!
