Clucked

At Clucked, eating chicken is a serious ritual. Serving up their signature chicken and hand selected wines and beers - this is a casual, no fuss dining experience that is second to none.

Not only is Clucked delicious, it's healthy too - using a unique breading that is full of different herbs and spices, the chicken is then cooked in brown rice oil making it very healthy with only 2grams of fat per serve - now that's impossible to find! 

The chicken focused menu is wonderful - ranging from battered and fried to glazed and grilled. There is something here for every chicken lover.

In fact the menu goes above and beyond what you would expect, with healthy options like beautiful vegan and gluten free salads for those not so chicken-inclined. 

To start the taleggio arancinis are a must. Crispy thin shell encasing molten centres. Just. Yum.

For the main affair, we recommend the (you guessed it) fried chicken. An absolute showstopper, each meaty morsel was crusted with a flavoursome spice mix and then perfectly fried to achieve a moreish crunchy exterior. While it was succulent, golden brown and delicious it was interesting that it didn't leave us feeling heavy or yucky afterwards - a testament to Clucked's philosophy of using good quality ingredients. 

The salads are a perfect accompaniment to the chicken (and also happen to be great on their own). The red quinoa salad in particular was a stand out. An enlivening salad of quinoa, roasted pumpkin, watercress, pepita, cranberries and chives brought together with Claire's special dressing, the salad was a medley of exciting flavours and textures which will appeal to even the most carnivorous individuals.

For something sweet to end your meal, the Pat & Sticks ice-cream sandwiches are perfect for sharing (or to have on your own...) and come in a range of delightful flavours.

Clucked is a new fried-chicken, warm your soul kind of place - family owned and run, recreating beautiful fried chicken breast using a secret recipe that has been passed down through generations of the family. A must-visit!
