Cookie

Popular for being one of Melbourne's best bars, Cookie offers a great selection of cocktails in a dynamic environment. Cookie’s versatility is highlighted by the fact that it also operates as a Thai restaurant with a large space adjacent to the bar reserved for dining patrons.

To start the baked scallops, coriander with chilli oil and pomelo salad average was a simple and tasty starter that was packed with flavour. The dumplings at Cookie are excellent - Our all time favourite, the Taro Dumplings were a winner, featuring gooey taro encased in a crisp batter along with the most addictive sticky chilli soy sauce.

For mains the Banana Leaf Barramundi Fillet with red curry, young coconut and basil was stunning.  The barramundi was perfectly cooked and highlighted the robust and fragrant red curry paste. Together with steamed rice, it was an addictive and comforting dish - particularly for an unseasonably cold Melbourne evening.

The desserts showcased Cookie's culinary potential. The dish of pumpkin cream with sticky rice and coconut ice cream concluded our evening on a sweet note. A Thai classic, the dessert was scrumptious and served with a generous scoop of creamy coconut ice cream over decadent pumpkin cream - yum!

With a focus on authentic Thai flavours served in a contemporary manner, Cookie is more than just an excellent watering hole.
