The slick interior with splashes of timber against a light interior and expansive windows makes for a sunny and warm dining experience.
The menu proudly subscribes to the philosophy of keeping things simple but doing it well. The food at DTRH is a twist on simple, delicious food, carefully prepared with a particular emphasis on accessible food and local produce.
As expected of any good café, the coffee is excellent and poured by adept baristas.
From the menu, an absolute must-have is the "Beyond The Rabbit Hole". Lamb is beautifully slow cooked and packed with tons of flavour and featured along side heirloom carrots, cucumber, smoked yoghurt and hazelnut crumb. It's a dish that looks stunning and tastes even better.
For the health conscious, the supercharged salad is a real treat and is a nourishing amalgamation of quinoa, freekah, broccoli, cauliflower florets, Brussel leaves, almonds, cranberries all brought together by a merlot dressing.
If you’re looking to spoil yourself you'll need to get your hands on the Maxijohn. Picture perfect gingerbread waffles sandwich luscious lemon and blueberry semifreddo that go down a treat with lemon curd, blueberry gel and meringue.
And then there's the bronuts... Our tip? DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING THESE. Light and fluffy, golden puffs of pure joy. You can thank us later.
