Phamish
/Located opposite Luna Park and the Palais Theatre, Phamish is an all day eatery which serves Modern Australian Cuisine with a touch of Middle Eastern spices along with gourmet Wood-fire Pizzas and Tapas.
The restaurant has just released a delicious winter menu featuring hearty delights perfect for sharing with family and friends.
From the grazing section of the menu, the lamb ribs are a stunner. We loved the beautifully slow cooked melt-in-your-mouth succulent lamb ribs with soy, cumin and rosemary marinade.
For main, the housemade gnocchi is like a hug from grandma - warm, pillow-soft and full of love. Together with moreish burnt sage butter, broccolini, pine nuts and pecorino this was a real treat.
For something heartier, do not go past the slow braised beef cheek. Comfort food at its best, the beef cheek was very tender and fell away easily with the weight of the fork. Coated with the rich braising sauce, it was delicious. This dish went very well with the accompanying dutch carrots and middle eastern rice.
To conclude your visit on a sweet high, we recommend the house baked deconstucted ricotta cheesecake. Think moreish ricotta cheesecake served with lashings of dulche de luche, citrus meringue and poached pear. Yum!
