The delivery services enable Eureka 89 to offer employment back to team members unable to access the benefits of the Federal Government’s Job Keeper subsidy.
We loved tasting our way through the Eureka at Home menu. which was delivered to our home. To start the dish of cured salmon was a colourful assembly of beautifully cured salmon, dill emulsion, pickled red onion, sauce gribiche served with potato flatbread. The entree of harissa lamb was similarly delightful. Tender slices of lamb were served on a bed of couscous salad, olives, cucumber and pinenut salsa, all brought together by luxurious tahini yoghurt.
For mains, the boullabaise was a seafood lovers dream. Think perfectly cooked prawns, fish and plump scallops served with mash and the most stunning classic Provençal seafood stew. The stew was unctuous and boasted a wonderful depth of flavour.
The braised short short rib was yet another stunner. Think beautifully cooked, exceedingly tender short rib served alongside creamy mashed potatoes, honey mustard roasted vegetables, red onion and capers, cornichons, shallot and chive salsa.
The cheese plate brought our savoury courses to a memorable conclusion. We loved the wonderful selection of cheeses served with quince paste, pickled figs and crackers.
Dessert time continued to please and showcased the kitchen's versatility. The apple and rhubarb crumble served with decadent vanilla mascarpone cream had us fighting over the last morsel.
Located on the top floor of Eureka Tower in Southbank, Eureka 89 is a boutique restaurant, cocktail bar and event space offering a truly memorable dining experience with dazzling 360-degree views of Melbourne through floor to ceiling windows. The ability to enjoy food from a restaurant of this calibre in the comfort of your home without breaking the bank is truly incredible.
