Father's Day finish-at-home menu by hatted Chef Simon Moss

On September 6th, Grosvenor Hotel will be delighting Dads across Melbourne with an impressive isolation-friendly, finish-at-home menu created by hatted Chef Simon Moss.

Offering an incredibly generous three-course menu, spoil Dad with shared entrée, mains, sides and dessert ($150 will serve two with potential leftovers for later). There’s also a three-course option for kids under 12, featuring classic kid-friendly favourites with popcorn chicken, lasagne and dessert for just $20 per child.

We loved tasting our way through the decadent menu. 

The three-course feast fit for a king kicked off with a Grosvenor Tasting Board, complete with freshly sliced wagyu bresaola, San Daniele prosciutto, Capocollo, Finocchiona salami, Calabrese salami, 24- month aged parmesan, smoked scamorza, bocconcini and mixed Sicilian olives served with wood fired house-baked rosemary and sea salt focaccia.

While Dad's indulging in the flavours of Italy during entrée, you have ample time to put together the succulent Beef Wellington for mains.

Simply oven bake the grass-fed eye fillet beef steak wrapped in buttery puff pastry, mushroom duxelles and San Daniele prosciutto. Plate up like a professional with cauliflower puree, a drizzling of porcini jus, and serve with a side of chargrilled broccolini and bitter leaf salad to complete your meal.

If it sounds too technical, don’t worry, we assure you that Chef Moss has your back and has prepared an easy to follow step-by-step recipe card for every delivery, and will include a temperature probe, so that you can cook your beef to perfection.

They have even got you sorted for dessert. Heat up a saucy rich chocolate pudding, and finish with sweet but tarty rhubarb jam and crunchy hazelnut praline.
