FoodSocial Global Feast: M for Morocco with Sahara Kitchen

Based and founded in Melbourne, FoodSocial is a social network that aims to connect food lovers through unique dining experiences at some of Melbourne's finest restaurants. Gastrology recently attended one of FoodSocial's most popular events which was the FoodSocial Global Feast from A-Z, celebrating the letter M for Morocco. The event was hosted in the heart of the city at Sahara Kitchen where foodies came together to enjoy a lavish banquet of Moroccan inspired food.

The feast started commenced with a range dips and tapas which included a platter of meats, and crispy fried calamari was was season and tossed in Moroccan flour. The crispyness and crunch of the calamari proved to be a hit amongst the group who then enjoyed a variety of traditionally cooked tagines. The highlight for us was the goat tagine which was topped with goats cheese and pomegranate. The cheese provided a nice tang to cut through the richness of the goat sauce, and the pomegrenate gave the dish a a bit a acid to also balance the goat.

With FoodSocial connecting foodies from across the world, the events are a great opportunity to meet people who are keen to experience different food experiences.
The next FoodSocial Global Feast will be celebrating Portuguese food at Bar Lourinha on the 27th of May. Book your seat at http://foodsocial.com.au/?p=6199 and use the promo code "gastrology"  for $8 off your ticket!
