Infuse Camberwell
/A stunning restaurant in Camberwell’s thriving culinary scene, Infuse’s unmistakable charm is alluring with its adventurous menu that explores the punchy flavours and exotic spices of Asian inspired Modern Australian fare.
The dish of chilli tofu was a stunning start to our visit. A melange of sweetness, savouriness, chilli kick and a touch of acidity, this was a beautiful dish comprising of deep fried vermicelli soaking in flavour some sauce together with melt in your mouth tofu laced with chicken mince, dried shallots, sesame and chilli.
The king prawn, scallop and ginger soy dumplings were similarly delicious – boasting a crisp base and beautifully tender seafood.
For mains the red curried Atlantic Salmon was a showstopper. The salmon had been slathered in curry and baked in banana leaves so that it was aromatic and had simply melted in your mouth.
If you want something heartier, then do not go past the chilli beef short ribs. Generous morsels of beef short ribs that were falling off the bone were beautifully tender and succulent. The accompanying steamed bao buns were the perfect canvas for the beef and the celeriac remoulade.
Dessert time continued to please at Infuse and showcased the kitchen’s versatility. The upside down strawberry cheesecake ensured our visit concluded on a sweet note. Think red velvet and white chocolate oat crumble atop creamy cream cheese. Highly recommended!
