Korean Grill House adds Kagoshima A5 Wagyu to its premium offerings

Korean Grill House in Point Cook is turning heads with its premium dining experience. A stalwart of Victoria’s dining scene, the restaurant recently announced that it would be serving Japanese A5 Wagyu beef from Kagoshima prefecture - arguably the most exquisite beef in the world. The announcement was (unsurprisingly) greeted with great fanfare.

Gastrology recently visit  the restaurant to try this fabulous Wagyu and indulge in a memorable dining experience. Kagoshima is world-renown for its Wagyu. A sub tropical island just off the Japanese mainland, it is blessed with plenty of sunshine and beautiful natural surroundings. The idealistic climate, careful use of organic feed and water of pristine quality has resulted in the highest quality of beef possible.

We waited with anticipation as the slice of Kagoshima Wagyu arrived at the table. It looked spectacular - boasting impeccable marbling and a vivid bright colour. After being cooked to perfection on the grill right before our eyes, we savoured the rich, tender and fatty wagyu. Every mouthful was full of flavour with the rich yet light fat simply enveloping our tongues. It was an extraordinary experience that was made even better with a dream “surf” selection to go with the “turf” of exceedingly fresh seafood including crayfish, scallops and prawns.

Regular guests at Korean Grill House know that there is much more to this popular eatery than meets the eye. There are many off the menu options that Head Chef and owner Arlan enjoys showing off to his discerning customers.

An absolute must try off-the-menu item is the Matsutake and truffle soup. Think indulgently rich mushroom broth topped with earthy and naturally sweet Matsutake mushroom and aromatic Perigord truffles. It taste exactly as you would imagine – heavenly.

Korean Grill House are the only Korean restaurant in Australia that serves Kagoshima Wagyu Beef. Patrons have the opportunity to try this special Wagyu beef as a regular premium option from next week onwards -just in time for Christmas! While you’re there, make sure you try the Matsutake and truffle soup, which is now available upon request as well as as part of a set menu option when you book in advance.
