Man Fu Yuan

A stalwart in the culinary dining scene since 1995, Man Fu Yuan (满福苑) at InterContinental Singapore offers a stunning menu with seafood highlights alongside a comforting selection of signature favourites, handcrafted dim sum, appetisers, soups and mains.

The restaurant is a Michelin Plate recipient and was also awarded as one of Singapore's best Chinese restaurants by Singapore Tatler.

Man Fu Yuan’s interiors are inspired by the restaurant’s name which translates to ‘garden of prosperity’. Refined furnishings and artwork provide a distinct and contemporary look while louvered windows and shutters evoke the setting of Peranakan culture that is reflected in the design of the hotel.

Helmed by Executive Sous Chef Aaron Tan who showcases a multitude of culinary techniques, backed by a commitment to observing tradition and balanced with thoughtful innovation.

We loved being taken on a culinary adventure by Tan. To start we loved the Dim sum trio that boasted intricate and moreish Charcoal taro duck dumplings, mouth-watering honey-glazed barbecued pork and roasted pork.

The crab bisque with braised premium bird’s nest to follow was sensational. The addition of pureed pumpkin was a masterstroke which provided depth and a luxurious texture to the soup.

For mains the stir-fried New Zealand grass-fed beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection and flavoured with heady black pepper and garlic chips.

Our savoury courses concluded on a high with the pièce de résistance - Lobster with angel hair pasta. The plump and juicy lobster had been cooked in an umami laden blend of stir-fried, ginger, scallion and Chinese wine. Together with the al dente pasta, this was a memorable dish that displayed technique and restraint.

Dessert time continued to please and was served theatrically. We loved the mix of berries and flavoured jellies.
