Launching Munich Brauhaus' first craft beer range
/Munich Brauhaus just got crafty. Melbourne’s Munich Brauhaus has taken a hop from the keg of the original craft brewers of Bavaria and launched its own range of haus-brewed beers.
The Crafty Bavarian range includes Munich Lager, Butcher’s Bride Pale Ale, a wheat and barley blend called Hop Dock and the low carb Blonde Moment. They are all brewed in Australia under the Crafty Bavarian Brewing Co. label and leverage authentic Bavarian recipes and 500 years of Bavarian brewing traditions. They are available on tap at Munich Brauhaus from Thursday, 7 January and are in addition to an extensive and unrivalled line-up of traditional, imported German beers.
The craftiness doesn’t end there. The in-haus genius behind the beers (also known as Ein Stein) has created an enticing range of Bavarian-inspired burgers and hot dogs, all with sensational haus-made sauces and condiments that complement the new craft brews.
This accomplished craftsman has combined authentic Bavarian flavours with fresh Australian produce to create six delicious burgers and five hotdogs that pair perfectly with those cold beers.
Diners can unleash their own inventive streak and build their own salad by choosing their preferred leaves, picking a protein, selecting cheeses, adding a sprinkling of fruits, nuts, seeds and other crunchy additions such as croutons, then enjoying their salad from a bowl, or in a wrap. Munich Brauhaus making friends with salads.
The affable Ein Stein has also created four craft beer and food pairings, at the special price of $15, to run throughout January. Or customers can mix and match until they discover their own favourite pair. He’s so excited that he is giving away burgers on the haus to the first 100 Facebook users who enter the Munich competition. He’ll also be giving away Crafty Bavarian gifts, including caps, keyrings and Frisbees throughout January.
Munich Brauhaus will also be celebrating its new range of craft beers with a pop up Craft Beer Garden from 8 January for four weeks. With astro turf, white picket fence and colourful deck chairs, the Craft Beer Garden is the perfect summer destination with views over the Yarra and CBD. It will also offer acoustic Sunday sessions.
