Nook Dining

Nook Dining is a contemporary dining restaurant in Point Cook by award winning chef Jack Lee. Bean Smuggler might be known for being one of the areas popular cafes but lesser known is the fact that every Friday and Saturday night, the space turns into 'Nook dining' – a restaurant offering where chef Lee lets loose some creative juices and explores contemporary Australian cuisine.

Lee’s impressive resume includes a stint working for a prominent 2 chef hatted restaurant in Adelaide as a senior sous chef before coming to Melbourne to open Bean Smuggler. Lee also represented Australia for the Chaine des Rotisseur international junior chefs competition in 2016, and was also crowned Chef of the Year 2018, after three days of competition at Foodservice Australia.

His experience shines through in Nook Dining’s degustation menu. Highlights included the 24-hour slow cooked ox tongue served with perfectly al dente pumpkin risotto and topped with sage and muntries as well as the stunning pork cooked over hibachi grill with soy sauce. Dessert was another dish certainly worth a mention – luxurious torched meringue was served with perfectly ripe figs, almond and lime yoghurt.
