At Spago Dining Room, guests experience a more intimate fine dining environment, and enjoy Asian inspired signature dishes.
To start we fell in love with the dish cheekily named “Kaya toast” which featured decadent sliced of seared foie gras topped with, pandan-coconut jam, foie gras-espresso mousse and buttery brioche.
The charcoal grilled octopus was similarly delicious. Perfectly tender and served with a rich and tangy kaffir lime aioli, lardo, japanese herbs, tempura sea beans, bonito and nori.
The Agnolotti with italian chestnuts served with port wine, mascarpone and Parmigiano Reggiano was yet another highlight. This was one hearty dish nonna would approve of. Simple but simply beautiful.
Whatever you do, do not leave without trying the iconic Japanese Sea Bream “Laksa” dish. Brimming with seafood, this luxe dish offers savoury decadence. Its spools of thick noodles slippery and coated with well-loved lemak (creamy coconut milk) broth and adorned with fresh Vietnamese coriander, Thai basil and a splash of calamansi.
Dessert time continued to please. The salted caramel souffle with Fuji apple sorbet crème fraiche was textbook perfection and a must-try.
