Square Market @ Federation Square
/Square Market has just popped up in Federation Square from today to Friday 11 March to celebrate the best of Melbourne's small business.
Global payments technology company Square has invited Melbourne’s favourite small business heroes to join it for Square Market, a unique popup marketplace celebrating small business at Federation Square.
Over three days, businesses that you know and love - Market Lane Coffee, Shortstop Coffee & Donuts, Mork Chocolate, Billy Van Creamy, That Dapper Chap, Butterbing Cookies, Those Girls, Cobb Lane Bakery, Adriano Zumbo, Sensory Lab, Hunters’ Roots, 5 & Dime Bagel and many more—are joining emerging artists, homewares designers, illustrators, crafters and buskers to sell direct to the public at one of the city’s most iconic destinations.
We fell in love with Cobb Lane Bakery's selection of doughnuts. These golden puffs were stunning. Ethereal in texture, the doughnuts were cinnamon-sugar coated and jam-packed with delicious fillings. The salted caramel filling was beautifully creamy and decadent. The cherry filling on the other hand was fragrant, fruity and had the perfect tartness. We had difficulty picking a favourite!
Square Market is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from 9–11 March. Enter via The Atrium at Flinders Street, Federation Square. Entry to Square Market is completely free. Stop in and support Melbourne’s finest small businesses.
