Starward are the new kids on ST. ALi’s block
/Award-winning Australian whisky producers, Starward are the new kids on ST. ALi’s block, temporarily relocating their Port Melbourne based distillery from the 8th February to begin their exciting overhaul in order to meet the growing global demand for its whisky.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder as Melbourne’s favourite couple reunite stronger than ever, with Starward relocating to the former ST. ALi Smalls Bar in South Melbourne offering a bespoke menu of food and drinks including six specially developed cocktail recipes curated in collaboration with the ST. ALi team. Experience the ‘Espresso not Martini’ combining Starward Two-Fold with ST. ALi cold brew coffee or the mouth-watering cocktail named ‘Coco-nuts’ featuring ST. ALi’s cold drip coffee, coconut cream, bespoke syrup and Two-Fold whisky.
Starward’s postcode may have temporarily changed from 3207 to 3205 but their mini masterclasses are still serving up the finest whisky knowledge in their new laid-back location and greeting guests with a smooth, easy-drinking Two-Fold & Tonic – Starward’s fresh twist on a G&T as they partake in a cocktail class available every Wednesday from 6:30pm-9:00pm. T
he Distillery refurbishment, due to be completed in mid-April, comes as the demand for Starward continues to grow, both locally and globally. To support this growth, the multi-million-dollar investment will significantly expand production capacity, provide a stimulating new floor layout as well as offer new tour experiences with elevated viewing platforms for a birdseye view of the Distillery.
Starward staff will be operating the pop up at Smalls Bar and serving drinks from brunch through to evening service.
