Tandoori Times
/Tandoori Times beckons diners to embark on an enchanting journey through the vibrant tapestry of Indian flavours and traditions. This restaurant is a temple of Indian cuisine, where culture, culinary artistry, and heartfelt hospitality blend seamlessly.
At the heart of Tandoori Times' success are the passionate owners. We were privileged to meet one of them, Aseem Tuteja, who shares a deep-rooted love for Indian gastronomy. His vision shines through every aspect of the restaurant, from the decor to the delectable dishes.
To start we adored the Amritsari Fish which was made with rockling and expertly marinated and deep-fried to perfection. The Minced Lamb Seekh Kabab was similarly delicious, succulent and savoury.
For mains we were delighted by an array of curries:
Paneer Saag: An authentic vegetarian delight that combines velvety paneer with a luscious spinach-based gravy.
Punjabi Butter Chicken: A dish that explodes with the rich flavours of North India with tender chicken simmering in a creamy tomato-based sauce.
Delhi's Goat Masala Curry: A curry that boasts the exotic flavours of goat meat, slow-cooked in aromatic spices, a true tribute to Delhi's culinary legacy.
Punjabi Daal Tadka: A comforting lentil dish, beautifully tempered with spices.
The breads at Tandoori Times were more than worthy accompaniments to the curries. The Lacha Paratha in particular was stunning - This heavenly wholemeal paratha was crisp and flaky and very addictive. The Garlic Butter Naan also met our expectations admiringly - Soft, fragrant, and generously smeared with aromatic garlic butter.
Dessert time continued to please with traditional delights of gulab jamun and a trio of kulfi mango, pistachio, and paan (betel leaf).
Tandoori Times leaves no room for compromise when it comes to authenticity. Each dish is a testament to the commitment to use only the freshest ingredients and authentic Indian spices. This unwavering dedication ensures that every bite taken here is a genuine exploration of India's diverse and aromatic cuisine.
