Temperance Society is a lovely cafe in Hughesdale with a wonderfully modern menu boasting healthy as well as naughty options which put flavour first. We loved tasting our way through their new menu. The pescatore was a stunner, featuring perfectly cooked seafood including plump prawns and mussels. It was a faultless dish perfect for seafood lovers. The carrot and zucchini fritters were similarly delicious. Each fritter boasted a crunchy golden brown exterior while being beautifully succulent and sweet inside. The fresh avocado, rocket smoked tomato chutney added a delightful freshness. As expected of any great Melbourne café, the coffee is delicious and poured by adept baristas.
