The Alley

The Alley is a vegan fast casual food concept sharing delicious, wholesome, plant-based food, aiming to revolutionise vegan eating as we know it.

Vegan restaurants traditionally cater to the alternative types, but owner Alexandra Pyke, the brainchild behind The Alley, has managed to bridge the gap between die-hard vegans and everyday folks who want to be more conscious with their food choices, whilst not sacrificing their much-loved comfort foods.

We loved The Alley’s menu which focuses on fresh and local ingredients, supporting sustainable food systems to create a plant-based cuisine that’s both rich in flavour and nutrient dense.

The signature house made burgers, are a must try. We recommend the Maple Bacon Burger with smoky paprika aioli - and no, that's not real bacon! We also enjoyed the fresh salads. Our top pick is the Mexican taco bowl - Think black bean chorizo, salsa fresca, cherry tomatoes, crispy taco strips, cos lettuce, lime wedge with a coconut yoghurt dressing. Just yum! While you're there, make sure you try one of their  guilt-free smoothies.

The Alley is great for breakfast on the go or long lunches with a cheeky glass of craft beer or bio-dynamic raw wine, for only business professionals, but also local students grabbing breakfast or lunch in between breaks.
