Feast of Friends at Taxi Kitchen
/Taxi Kitchen recently launched 'Feast of Friends' which occurs every Sunday and showcases a lunch and dinner offering for $75 and each week is a different theme.
Gastrology visited Taxi Kitchen for 'Feast of Friends' in March where the theme was "Say Cheese" and we were taken on a culinary journey through 4 cheese-centric and absolutely delicious courses.
The Hickory smoked salmon belly buns were a stunning start to our visit. The fluffy white bao buns were the perfect canvas for the tender salmon belly, textural macadamia nut and addictive Reggiano crumb.
An enticing dish of Burrata, Heirloom tomato and roasted nam prik arrived next. It was a wonderful amalgamation of fiery Thai flavours which worked (surprisingly) and beautifully with the burrata.
A hearty Chilli miso beer short rib, cauliflower, Berry Creek blue cheese and Taxi furikaki heralded the end of our savoury courses.
To finish, a wonderfully imaginative cross between a dessert and a cheese course, the La Conquorat camembert, Corella pears, smoked carrot and grapefruit jam was lovely.
Boasting some of the best views, food, wine and service that Melbourne has to offer, Taxi Kitchen has established itself as one of Melbourne’s prime dining destinations.
