/Café Lafayette City have just launched a delectable new menu that treats loyal fans and new guests to playful theatrics and complete sensory immersion, while providing the perfect drop-in spot for a relaxed brunch or after work gathering, with an international menu focused on fun and flavour.
Raising the bar in trend setting tastes Café Lafayette presents a menu with brand new, delicious and flavoursome concoctions. Solar Liang and Monique Wu, the passionate and committed owners of this culinary universe take what might appear to be prosaic dishes and capture them in a new light. An all-day brunch menu that can transition from 11am to 11pm, Café Lafayette offers a variety of delightful dishes that certainly taste as good as they look.
We loved all the dishes we tried. Café Lafayette’s chicken waffles
were an absolute winner - One of the best renditions of this classic dish we have tried to date! Perfectly crispy morsels of chicken sat atop fluffy squid ink waffles and were adorned with a gooey cheese sauce, maple syrup, apple crumble, almond slivers and strawberry. Just yum!
The dish of oceanic tempura was similarly delightful. We loved the ethereally light and crispy batter encasing juicy chunks of lobster and scallop as well as eggplant, sweet potato and enoki.
Whatever you do, do not leave without trying the matcha french toast. Think brioche topped with mascarpone cheese, homemade dango, strawberry, apple crumbs and roasted soybean flour. You can thank us later.
On the drinks front expect to see the signature Grand Lafayette pretty as a picture, rainbow latte and the freaky shakes in Black Sesame, Berry Punch, Double Chocolate Brownie and Matcha Matcha.
Regardless of what you choose to eat or sip, Café Lafayette’s exciting new offering is all about creating exceptional culinary experiences for intrepid food lovers.
