Located on Victoria Street, popular for its Vietnamese eateries, LBSS stands out from the crowd with its heavenly brunch offerings. The perfect embodiment of a thriving Melbourne café, LBSS draws in the crowds week in week out with its consistently excellent food, fantastic coffee and cheerful wait staff. 

LBSS is an establishment that proudly pays homage to quality Australian produce, as is successfully reflected in its dishes. The brunch offerings command respect and have something to suit everyone.

We started with the Sunday special of lamb shoulder and green salad which featured tender morsels of flavoursome lamb, luscious avocado, crisp greens and slices of kiwifruit which despite our initial doubts, worked wonders for the dish. It was a well thought-out amalgamation of flavours which spoke volumes of the kitchen's talent.

We then shared their stunning sweet potato and coconut pancakes - which was a complete show stopper. A delicious take on a simple breakfast favourite that amalgamates the best things in life. The pancakes were fluffy and moist and embellished with roasted peach slices, coconut yoghurt and maple. Yum!  

As expected of any great Melbourne café, the coffee is excellent and poured by adept baristas. The coffees are perfect to enjoy with LBSS' wonderful selection of desserts and cakes which also include a variety of raw and gluten free sweet treats. We loved the raw "snickers bar". As raw and vegan as it was, it was concocted without a single sacrifice to flavour.
