Salona pleases with flavour-laden, rustic offerings that are inspired by regional specialities from across the Hellenic Republic.

An evolution of simple, fresh and flavoursome ingredients, the new winter menu is wonderfully heart-warming - a nod to the venue’s strong roots in Greece, where meals are a fun, social and a celebratory affair.

We loved sampling our way through the new mouth-watering menu.  To start the vibrant Batzari dip of roasted beetroot, feta and walnuts - is the perfect way to whet your appetite with warm pita bread.

The zucchini and fennel weed smoked feta kefte is equally delicious. Wonderfully crisp, the filling of melt in your mouth feta and zucchini was flavoursome and perfectly seasoned.

For main the Byzantine Calamari was a showstopper. The tender calamari had been cooked to absolute perfection and stuffed with juicy king prawns and scallop pitali.

The Beef Rib Stifado continued the trend of stunning dishes that preceded it. It was a memorable dish combining flawless texture with equally superlative flavours and was particularly noteworthy for its fragrant and complex beefy flavours and fresh pea skordalia.

Our evening concluded on a sweet end with a beautifully made portokalopita, a Greek orange and phyllo cake that is the ultimate celebration of orange and all good things in life. Truly divine, the portokalopita was drenched in a beautiful cinnamon, vanilla and orange infused honey syrup. Yum!

Like its predecessors, Salona's new winter menu presents diners with masterfully created Greek cuisine that exudes a whole lot of love.
