Wines to impress with this Valentine’s Day

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we thought we would share a few that we think are the perfect to gift your loved one. From reds and whites, to bubbles, here are some of our current favourites.

Croser Vintage Sparkling

Show your special someone, just how special they are with this elegant and fruit driven sparkling wine this Valentine’s day. The Croser Vintage 2013 is defined by its ripe raspberry and strawberry from the Pinot and crisp apple from the Chardonnay. They combine to deliver a creaminess of biscuit and brioche on the palate. The wine has a rounded luscious rich palate, framed by wonderful integrated acidity that helps accentuate the fine Piccadilly Valley fruit.

Stardust & Muscle Shiraz

If your loved one likes it bold, then Wine by Sam’s Stardust & Muscle Shiraz will do the trick. This wine is deep crimson in colour with purple glints at the rim. Intensely aromatic, the nose is full of violets, red fruits, sweet spices, chocolate and subtle savoury notes. The palate is full-bodied and rich, with plush tannins

and a long finish.

Petaluma White Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

The 2018 Petaluma White Label Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium bodied, elegant and dry red wine. The palate has hints of mint, black berry fruit and cassis with supple tannins. A top pick for a cosy night in this Valentine’s Day.

Grant Burge PNC Sparkling Rose

With beautiful rich red berries, accented by dusky florals and sweet spicy notes. Generous and rich with a decadently creamy mouthful, balanced with crisp acidity and vibrant fruit-driven flavours, this bubbly rosé is just about as romantic as it gets!

The Victoria Pinot Gris

Another winner from Wine By Sam, this is perfect for a warm and sunny Valentines Day. The wine is light straw in colour, with just the palest copper hue at the rim. There are pear and spice aromatics along with a delicate rose perfume There is a sherbety freshness to the palate – likely a result of the cool 2017 growing season which preserves more natural acid in the wine.
