Hunky Dory

In celebration of Hunky Dory opening their seventh store in the new Town Square at Eastland the guys have launched a new menu across all stores.

Hunky Dory’s owner, Greg Robotics, comes from a long line of fishermen, dating back almost 90 years to the Greek Islands. Hunky Dory first opened in 2004 with a vision to offer healthier seafood options along with the more traditional fried fish and chips.

Greg saw there was a gap in the market for customers who wanted to dine in and enjoy a glass or wine or a beer with their meal. Thus Hunky Dory Fish and Burger Bar was born.

The eatery is obsessed with freshness. Most fish is handpicked fresh from the markets, brought into the shop whole and filleted on site. The shop also offers healthy options - grilled seafood, salads, steamed vegetables and steamed white or brown rice.

We loved the new menu which features grilled flavours from around the world, new burgers and wraps as well as super salads.

The Japanese grilled fish was a winner. Served with miso teriyaki sauce and toasted black sesame seeds.

Another favourite was the black rice super salad comprising nutty black rice, roasted red pepper, grilled zucchini, fetta, walnut, pomegranate seeds and laced with Dijon vinaigrette.

What Hunky Dory does, it does well. The new menu inspired by international flavours and delicious ingredients is a welcome addition to loyal punters and fresh foodies.
